Four Seasons
Every season at Katahdin Lake offers a variety of pursuits for the outdoor lover. From ice through fall a canoe or kayak trip on the lake is an adventure that should not be missed. Boats, paddles and life jackets are available for our guests.
There are several hiking trails in the area. Further afield there are many more trails including those on Katahdin. We are happy to answer questions and there is a great deal more information available on the Baxter State Park website. That link is above.

For fishermen, the 650 acre lake has a very healthy self sustaining brook trout population. No live fish as bait and special length and bag limits apply.
There are also several ponds, streams and beaver bogs in the area that also offer the chance for a native brook trout.

Guided fishing trips are available. Please check with us for details.

When fall arrives, the colors around the lake are spectacular. During this season many artists and photographers visit the lake and camps as they have since Frederic Church created his famous study of the mountain and lake in the 1850's.
This year we are pleased to offer arts workshops through the newly created Katahdin School of Arts. For more information and a list of workshops please click on the link above.

As winter settles in, the snow piles up, the temperatures plunge, and the land and water lock up tight. Winter offers days of exploration on snowshoes or cross country skis. Evenings will find you back at camp by a warm wood stove recounting the days adventures.
